TIM WOLFF – SPACING
OPENING THU 23 MAY 19:00
Exhibition lasts 23/05/19 – 09/06/19
Open Thu to Sat 17:00 – 19:00
Spacing as defining structures, placing objects, achieving interruptions. Spacing as the distance between two words, as the silence between sounds, as the prolongation of a dot in a line. Spacing as a system which derives from a manipulated nature, based on liquid structures, a universe and its metaphorical interference with a human illusory order.
For his first solo exhibition in Vienna at >RAUMSTATION Tim Wolff observes the spacings of reality in politics and society and explores with site-specific installations, drawings and videos the rearrangements of it. While some politicians are spacing seats and fence posts, Wolff checks the world’s pulse spacing in his works, questioning the omnipresent digital media, shaping dystopic realities, re-arranging everyday life into video-collages.
